Jerry Kent Neal Thomasville Carolina Cremation Thomasville

Jerry Kent Neal, 73, of Thomasville NC passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington surrounded by his family. He was born on May 17, 1943 to the late Vaughn Neal and Ruth Minnick Neal in Carter County, TN.

Jerry was a dedicated member of Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington, NC and proudly served as church treasure for 16 years. He retired in 2009, after 31 years, from Old Dominion Freight Line where he held various positions including Director of National Account Pricing.

His greatest loves were spending time with his family, adventures to new locations and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Neal from Hendersonville, NC.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia Neal of Thomasville; a son, James (Jim) T. Neal of Winston-Salem, NC; Sammy and Jody Hedrick of Lexington; Thad Hedrick and wife Wendy of Lexington; two very beloved grandsons, Ethan and Garrett Hedrick of Lexington; one sister Janie Frazier of Kenner, LA.; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 23rd at 3:00 PM at Second Presbyterian Church, (200 Cotton Grove road Lexington, NC). The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church.

    Sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. He will be missed but has moved to a better place. I worked with Jerry for 15 years and he was always willing to spread his knowledge. Prayers for the Neal family in this time of need. God bless.
